Things I LOVE!!

I decided that I needed to write a positive post....so I decided to write about things I LOVE!! Now these are not just things I LIKE either. Here goes....

I love the fact that I'm now a mom. It's pretty weird to think about, but it just feels so right. Maggie is the sweetest ever!

Along with that I love the fact that I'm married to a wonderful man. Just think....less than 2 years ago I had no husband AND no baby. How time moves along!!

I love hanging out with my family. They are super good peeps. Plus, it's always crazy around the Rouw household, and that suits us all just fine. Conversations overlap, and it's a wonder anyone ever knows what anyone is talking about.

I love that I have good friends. It's fun to hang out with "the girls" and just be me. I do NOT love that we are losing one Becky.......

I love dark chocolate. One might think that's not that important among all those other things I love, but I really do love it. There's just something about it. It makes me happy. Plus, there are apparently some health benefits that go along with it. I'm sure that's why I love it.

I love good food. As much as I sometimes want to diet, the food wins out. Sure, people say you can diet and have good food, but who are they kidding??? Mexican...Italian....Chinese...whatever! I like it all!

I love having a house. It's a lot of work, but I love that it's mine. I can change it whever I want. I can buy pretty things for it. It is comfortable. I love it.

I love being a teacher. It's true. I really do. I like my fourth graders, and I'm somehow always optimistic that I can turn them into smart, super well-behaved people. AND it somehow works! I love seeing that light turn on. I love kidding around with them. I love the fact that they know that I am there for them. Going on year 11!

I love a pretty outfit. I'm not sure that there's anything that can make me feel much better than buying a super cute outfit. It makes me feel good about myself. I know that's shallow, but so what??! Just one cute shirt can totally make a day better!

I love my Nissan Murano. Right now it's at the shop, but it will be mine again. It's just funny to me because I've never really felt anything for any of my vehicles. They were used to get me from point A to point B. It's somehow different with the Murano. I just like it. It's fun to drive. There's room for Maggie's stuff. I'm comfortable in it, and I feel just a little bit cool!

I love that I'm an optimist. I feel that it is a gift that I have to see the good in people...even in those ones that cut you off on the interstate and then give YOU the bird. :o) This gift helps me in my teaching and in life. It's so nice to see the glass half full!

I love that my husband is a good cook. I stink at it, and I don't really have any desire to get better. Oh well!
