Things you should NEVER say to someone pregnant.....

1. Are you having twins?
2. Wow! You're really getting big.
3. That must be a big baby!
4. Are you due soon?
5. Will you be able to fit behind your steering wheel to drive?
6. You look really tired.
7. How much weight have you gained?
8. Should you be eating/drinking that?
9. That's not really good for the baby.
10. I don't think you're going to make it to your due date.

Okay people out there. There is NOTHING nice about any of these things. Perhaps you think you're being helpful. Perhaps you just like to comment on everything. Perhaps your mouth opened before your brain kicked in. I don't know, but none of these things make a pregnant woman feel good. Remember if you don't have something nice to say.......

Any yes, I have have almost all of these things said to me at one time or another. I really haven't lashed out, but it's mostly because I have no idea what to say. I assume that people are not trying to be hurtful, but still.....it does hurt.

And for all the people who have been so supportive and said REALLY nice things, you are loved and appreciated more than you know.

4 weeks to go!

And the worst blogger ever award goes to.......

It's pretty hard for me to remember to do anything these days, but I really have no excuse this time. Aaron got our home computer back up and running, so I should have some time to blog....at least every once in a while. I'll do some filling in on events.....

I'm still pregnant. Ha ha! I'm not at 33 weeks. Not too more to do even though I will say that this belly continues to get bigger and bigger and get on my nerves when I can't do things. I love Maggie, but seriously!!! Can it grow ANY more???? I am hoping not. :o) We've been working on the nursery. It is coming along. I figure we'll be done with it in a week. Fingers crossed!!!

My super best friends Kelli, Chrystal and Becky hosted a baby shower for us yesterday. It was so fun. I loved seeing all my friends....eating things I know that I shouldn't....opening gifts for Maggie! I am glad that all my friends have such good taste. No wonder we're friends!

My sister had her baby boy on Tuesday. He was about 4 weeks early because of her blood pressure issues, but all is well. They're home from the hospital. His name is Quinn Alexander...finally a name for the no name baby! He weighed close to 5 and a half pounds but has dropped some. However, our prayers for yet another healthy baby were answered. Thank you God!

Besides that we're just rolling along. Nothing too exciting except the baby stuff. My kiddos at school are great. We have the writing TAKS coming up soon, so that is kind of scary. But my students are all working really hard, and I am proud of them.

In my next post I will list things NEVER to say to a pregnant woman. Yes, some have been said to me, and some come from others. You will probably be shocked. So expect that list AFTER Maggie is born. Just kidding. I'm really going to try to do better. I'll just say that I get all my inspiration from Caroline! Ha ha!
